- Use the BrainBit.kids app (including parent / professional dashboards)
- Connect BrainBit.kids to BrainBit hardware used with children

Who Uses BrainBit.kids
BrainBit.kids is designed for children but is operated and managed by adults:
- Parents or legal guardians who create accounts and manage child profiles
- Children who use the games and devices under adult supervision
- Professionals (therapists, clinics, schools, coaches) who work with multiple children
Only adults (typically 18+) may create an account, purchase hardware or enter into a contract with us. Children access BrainBit.kids under that adult’s account.

The information we collect depends on how you use BrainBit.kids.

From parents / adult users

- Contact details (such as organization, job title, phone – for professionals)
- Purchase information (selected device bundle, subscription plan, billing address)

From child profiles (entered by adults)
- Child nickname or first name (we recommend nicknames)
- Age or age range
- Optional details such as gender or class/grade if you choose to provide them
We do not require a child’s full legal name to use BrainBit.kids.

- Unique device identifiers, app version, language and region

Brain & Training Data

- EEG / EMG-derived values used for training (for example, Theta/Beta ratio, Alpha-based indices, EMG tension levels).
In most cases, training and dashboards work with processed indicators, not continuous raw EEG waveforms. - Session information: date and time, duration, selected game or protocol, device type
- Game performance: points, scores, levels, rewards, time spent in the “focus zone” or “relaxation zone”
- Engagement metrics: sessions per week, streaks, usage patterns
For professional accounts, we may provide more detailed analytics and exports based on the same underlying data.

How Children Use BrainBit.kids

- a parent/guardian account, or
- an account managed by a professional or educational organisation.
We advise parents and guardians to supervise children during hardware setup and training sessions.
Data We Collect About Children
For each child profile, we may process:
- Basic profile information (nickname, age/age range, optional gender or group)
- Training and game data (session dates, scores, focus metrics)
- EEG/EMG-derived indicators used to provide feedback and track progress
We aim to minimize identifying information about children and encourage the use of nicknames.
Parental Consent
Where required by law (e.g., COPPA in the US, GDPR-K in the EU), we rely on the parent’s or legal guardian’s consent:
- to create a child profile,
- to collect training data relating to that child, and
- to store and process that information for the purposes described in this Policy.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the consent of a parent or legal guardian where such consent is required, we will delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.
